Carl Wayne Wilkinson

Carl Wayne Wilkinson, 71, departed this life peacefully from natural causes on January 20, 2026. Born on August 19, 1954, in Wichita, Kansas, Carl was a devoted minister of the Gospel and a long-standing member of Trinity Baptist Church in Grand Prairie, Texas.

Carl was the second of three children in the Wilkinson family and spent his early years in Wichita, KS before moving to Corpus Christi, Texas, where he graduated from Mary Carroll High School. He later became the proud owner of Courtesy Carriers, where his people-oriented nature shone through in his work and community interactions. His ability to connect with others was evident to all who knew him.

A passionate and dedicated member of his church, Carl delivered his last sermon on January 11, 2026, a testament to his unwavering commitment to his faith. Beyond his ministry, he was an enthusiastic strategist who cherished playing board games with his nephews, often sharing laughter and joy around the table. An exceptional cook, Carl also loved preparing meals for family and friends, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere wherever he went.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Virginia Creamer Wilkinson, a brother, Ed Wilkinson, his sister, Mindy Monroe, and his treasured son, Carl Wilkinson Jr. Each of them will carry his memory and the values he instilled in their hearts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Bryan Wilkinson.

A memorial service to celebrate Carl's life and legacy will be conducted at Trinity Baptist Church on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 1:30 PM. Those who knew Carl are invited to gather and reflect on his remarkable life, sharing cherished memories and the impact he had on our lives.

As we mourn the loss of Carl, we also take time to honor the love, kindness, and joy he brought into our lives. His spirit will forever live on in our hearts.
