Carla Dalrymple Queen, 75, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2024, with her daughters by her side.
She was born in Gaston County on February 5, 1949. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne Jackson Queen.
Carla was a true caregiver who cared for everyone above herself. She was simple and humble. Carla loved her family and once she became a grandmother she became known as “Maw Maw” to everyone.
She is survived by her daughters, Jackie Queen Davis (Bobby) and Kathy Queen Wellborn (Jerry); grandchildren; Matthew Queen, Carson Marie Polk (Dustin), Daniel Ivester, Dylan Elliott Robinson, Caroline Ivester, Brayden Ivester, Erin Elise Buchanan, Christopher Rivas, Kaitlyn Davis, Jessica Anderson; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will gather for visitation from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
