Carla J. Tweeton, 84, of Fergus Falls, died Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND.
Carla Judith Kittelson was born June 28, 1940 in Pelican Rapids, MN to Carl "Oscar" and Viola (Nelson) Kittelson. She attended Pelican Rapids High School, graduating in 1958. After high school, she attended Crookston School of Practical Nursing. She graduated in 1959 as a Certified Practical Nurse. Carla was worked at Lake Region Hospital and Pioneer Care Center, both in Fergus Falls.
On October 8, 1960 Carla married Wallace Tweeton at North Immanuel Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids.
She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls. Carla enjoyed sewing, quilting, and genealogy. She was a church organist.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Wallace Tweeton; her parents, Oscar and Viola Kittelson, and brother, Cordell Kittelson.
Carla is survived by her children, Dawna (Donny) Wiek and Dan (Teresa) Tweeton; grandchildren, Ben (Leah) Hochstein, Simon (Reyne) Hochstein, and Jenna (Alfonso) Soza; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Howard (Cheri) Kittelson, and sister, Kathryn (Greg) Gilstrap.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Olson Funeral and Cremation in Fergus Falls with 6:30 p.m. Prayer Service. Visitation will resume, at the church, one-hour prior to the service.
Service: 11:00 a.m., Friday, February 28, 2025, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, MN.
Clergy: Reverend Eliza Johnson
Interment: North Immanuel Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, MN
