Carleton Raymond Dixon III

Carleton Raymond Dixon, III, 61, of Dayville, CT, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 27, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Putnam, CT, on March 23, 1965, one of five children to the late Carleton Raymond Dixon, Jr., and Lorraine Dorothy (Streich) Dixon.

Carl spent his younger years making deliveries for K&H Produce, his father's general store. He enjoyed playing golf and softball, as well as taking annual trips to the Woodstock Fair with his children. You would never have met a bigger New York Yankees or New England Patriots fan. Carl loved watching games, going for drives, and spending time with his grandkids.

Carl is survived by his son, Carleton Dixon, IV, and his son Adam; his daughter, Cayla Fontaine and her husband AJ and their daughters, Emilia and Addison. He also leaves behind four siblings, Florence, David, Lisa and Scott along with many nieces, nephews and their families.

Carl will be remembered for his strength, humor, caring heart, and his love for coffee and enjoying a sunny day, chatting with friends.

At the request of his family, funeral services will be held privately. Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, in Vernon, are in care of his arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the National MS Society.
