Kris Baer Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home on Mar. 19, 2026.
KRIS BAER October 31, 1966 – March 15, 2026

Kris "Schneides" Baer, 59, of Coventry, CT passed away suddenly on March 15, 2026, to start a

new journey surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on October 31, 1966, in

Hartford, CT, the son of John and Doris Baer.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years Ingrid, his beautiful children Haley Celine Baer

and Matthew Gunther Baer as well as his mother Doris of Vernon, CT, brother, Scott and

Christine Baer of Tolland, CT their children Kayla, Ryan and his wife Kacey. His sister-in-law,

Christin and John Buxton of Vernon, CT and their children, Kelsey, Emily and Elizabeth. Kris'

cousin Tracy and her family Daniel, Tucker and RJ. Cousins Gary, David, Nadine, Brandon,

Karen, Stephanie, Sandy, Susan, Shelly, Steven, Curt, Kris and Lauren. Uncle Paul & Marilyn,

Auntie Pat, Uncle Russell & Uncle Doug &Terry.

Kris was a very compassionate man. He loved his children and wife with all of his heart and told

us every day. His love for them could not be measured and he was so proud of them. Kris was

the most kindhearted person you would ever meet. Always right there figuring out the problem

and fixing it. With all his tools in hand.

Kris loved spending time with friends and family, especially good friends Jim, Jennifer & Terri so

many good times just hanging out and vacationing together. Kris garage brothers Kevin and

Lenny have such a special place in his heart as do childhood friends Paul & Lisa Stokes. Our

neighborhood friends were so special to him. They were like a second family. The Haye's,

Shaw's, Sullivan's, Mowry's, Winter's, Proto's, Ratte's & Healey's.

Kris' most favorite pastime was camping. He looked forward to camping with friends and family

at Salisbury Beach with his Canadian cousins and relatives, Hammonasett, Santa's Village,

Danforth, Old Orchard, Lake George, Pine Lake and Gunstock. His camping memories are his

favorite pastime and was so looking forward to camping this season.

Remember Kris for his sense of humor, his smile, his beautiful blue eyes, his love and

compassion for his family, friends and his pets. For those of us he cherished and who cherished

him, we remain forever changed by his impact on our lives. We were so lucky to have him in

our lives. We will miss him fiercely but remember him with profound affection.
