Clifton, NJ – Carlos A. Basurco of Clifton, NJ, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022, peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was 92 years old. Carlos was born in Lima, Peru and emigrated to the United States in 1960, where he resided in Paterson, NJ for many years. He worked for Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, NJ where he retired. He was an avid soccer player and coach and was deeply proud of his Peruvian heritage.
Carlos is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years Erlinda (nee Marrou), five children, Sergio Basurco and wife Judy, Patricia Vignola and husband Danny, Victor Basurco, Mauricio Basurco and wife Cindy and Ana Basurco, ten grandchildren Robert, Nicole, Joseph, Christina, Gina, Walker, Wilder, Jennifer, Jaclyn, and Brittany. Cherished and adored great grandfather of Gabriella, Justin, Jackson and Ashley. Carlos is predeceased by his sisters the late Graciela, Emma, Olga and Irma. Surviving siblings Olinda, Rosa and Jaime who reside in Peru and uncle of several nieces and nephews and family members all over the world.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours at the Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013 on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 4:00-8:00pm. The following morning, a funeral service will be held at 10:30am at the funeral home before the entombment at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa, NJ 07512.
