Carlos Vega "Odi Fumbo" De Oro

Carlos "Odi Fumbo" Vega De Oro, age 64, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home during the evening hours of Christmas Day on Thursday, December 25, 2025.

Carlos was born in Cuba on October 20, 1961, to Carlos Vega Fernandez and Maria Luisa De Oro Cabrales. He later came to the United States, where he built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work.

On November 23, 2010, Carlos married his beloved wife, Angela Melody Rivera, in Tampa, Florida. A dedicated and hardworking man, Carlos spent many years performing a variety of handyman-type jobs before eventually retiring from his role as a sales representative at Home Depot.

In his free time, Carlos enjoyed traveling to different places and spending quiet moments reading. Above all, he was a faithful man who devoted his life to sharing his spiritual teachings with his family and others. He was not only a man of strong work ethic and deep faith, but also the patriarch of his family-a guiding presence who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Angela Vega De Oro, Carlos is survived by his daughter, Marice Vega De Oro, and his two granddaughters, Nayra and Mia Bonet Vega; his stepchildren, Tristen Alvarez and Jasir Harvin; his brother, Luis (Amelia) Vega De Oro; his niece, Yoriesley Casasus; and his numerous godchildren, including Virginia Rosario Oller and Roberto Oller.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Florida Mortuary Funeral and Cremation, 4601 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, Florida 33603.
