Services have been postponed. Carlos M. Hernandez, age 16 of Greenbrier, was born November 25, 2008 and passed away September 2, 2025. He had a passion for Hellcat cars and loved rap music. Carlos loved sports, mainly basketball and Titans football. He enjoyed spending time with his close friends, fishing, and taking walks at night. Carlos loved animals, especially his dog Sal. His love for animals prompted him to begin taking pre veterinary classes at school. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Hernandez, his step-father, Alex Lyan, his sister, Sonjia M. Hernandez, and his brother, Aendreuw Hernandez. Services have been postponed. --The family requests that only close friends and family attend.-- What to expect at a natural burial: Dress for an outdoor hike and wear appropriate shoes. Use the restroom before you arrive, there is no public toilet or running water. Plan to arrive 15 minutes ahead of time. Family and friends will be welcomed at the trailhead by staff and volunteers. The casket or body will be in place at the graveside prior to the arrival of family and friends. Family and friends will hike up the hill into the nature preserve for the burial ceremony. Words are shared and the casket or body is lowered into the grave by family and friends. With guidance the family and friends shovel soil into the grave until it is closed. Hike away from the graveside and return to your vehicle or explore the preserve. Leave no trash behind. Cut flowers are welcome.
