Carlos Rene Romero of Pleasanton tragically passed away on Saturday, August 16, 2025. He was born in Jourdanton on Tuesday, September 27, 2005 to Randy Martinez Sr. and Pamela Romero.

Carlos enjoyed playing video games, attempting to dance to his favorite music, hanging out, joking around and spending time with his brothers Rino and Aj and best friends Gabriel and Devan. All who were all special to him. Carlos loved animals of all kinds, especially his dog, Junior and his ferret MJ. Carlos enjoyed spending time with his Godson, Gabriel Salinas Jr. He also loved spending time with his cousins Sienna, Angelina, Marissa, Daniel, Isaac, Priscilla, Annalisa, Alicen. Most of all, Carlos truly loved all his family and friends.

Carlos is survived by his mother, Pamela Romero; stepfather, Anthony Garza; father, Randy Martinez Sr.: brothers, Seferino " Rino" Martinez, Andrew "AJ" Martinez, Randy Martinez Jr. and Alex Martinez; grandparents, Tony Romero, Minnie Lopez, and Daniel and Yolanda Martinez; and Godson, Gabriel Salinas Jr. Carlos is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Josie Romero, Anthony Romero, Edward and Angela Romero, Desirae and Smitty Gonzales, Robert and Angela Martinez, Gabriel Romero, Billy and Belinda Martinez, and Danny and Lupe Martinez; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Carlos is preceded in death by his uncle, Mario Romero Jr.; aunt Michelle Rodriguez, grandmother Alice Flores, great grandmother Endina Flores, great grandfather Antonio Romero Sr.; great grandmother, Josephine Llamas Romero; and great grandparents, Marcella and Madaleno Lopez.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Hurley Funeral Home, with visitation starting at 4:00 pm followed by the reciting of the rosary at 7:00 pm. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
