Carlos "Carlitos" Sendejar

Carlos "Carlitos" Sendejar, 72 years of age, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 5, 2024 after a short illness. He was born in Benavides, Texas on December 4, 1951 to his parents, Jose Sendejar and Armandina Salinas. Carlitos was a vibrant soul who brought joy to everyone around him. He had a passion for playing Chalupa with his family, indulged in his love for marshmallows and bananas, and never missed a chance to dance. Above all, he was a dedicated fan of his beloved Benavides Eagles. Carlitos knew everyone in our community, and if there was someone he didn't know, he quickly made them a friend. One of his greatest joys was spending time with numerous cousins he adored. We are at peace knowing he believed in Our Father promise of eternal life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Sendejar and Armandina Gutierrez; raised by his aunt, Emma S. Cavazos; his sister, Marie Hernandez his brother, Joe Sendejar.
Carlitos is survived by his brother, Ricardo Sendejar of Benavides, Texas; step brothers, Frankie Gutierrez, Robbie Gutierrez and step sister, Cindy Erno; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, also many friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 till 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at the Garza Funeral Home in San Diego, Texas with a Memorial Service and Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Services will conclude that evening.
