Funeral services for Mr. Carlton Gene Brown, 80, of Hartselle, AL, will be at 1:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, September 28, 2025 with Peck Funeral Home Directing and Bro. Bobby Ray Halbrooks officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. Burial will be at Ebenezer Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Brown passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on September 26, 2025. He was born on December 17, 1944 to Franklin Eugene and Ruby Brown, who preceded him in death.

Carlton was a Plant Operations Director for multiple hospitals during his working years and was well respected by the hospital communities. He was a member of Hartselle First Methodist Church. He was a hard worker, big family man, and wonderful grandfather. He loved cars and bird watching.

Survivors include:

Wife – Diane Sparks Brown

Son – Frank Brown (Kandis) and children Isabella and John Franklin of Trussville, AL

Daughter – Dyroma Burroughs (Jamie) and children Anna Hampton, Claudia, Lauren, and Cade of Hartselle, AL

Brother – Chris Brown (Monica)

Sister – Carol Sivley (Edward)

Pallbearers will be John Franklin Brown, Chris Brown, Josh Brown, Scott Sivley, Tom Sparks and Corey Simpson.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
