Carlton Eugene Wilson, Sr.
6/22/1954 – 3/25/2025
Carlton Eugene Wilson, Sr. 70, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Sylvania on March 25, 2025, surrounded by his family. Carl was born in Toledo, Ohio to James C. Wilson and Nancy A. Wilson (Cunningham) on June 22, 1954. He married his wife Glenna (Ramm) on September 15, 1979, after knowing her since childhood. He worked in the Toledo shipyards and for Armstrong heating before moving on to Seaway Scaffold driving trucks delivering equipment. He enjoyed spending his summer weekends enjoying lake life with his family and loved spending holidays and celebrations with his wife, children and many grandchildren. Carl was most proud of his family especially his many grandchildren and loved to see them succeed in all that do.
He was preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Haley Wilson, grandson Caleb Wilson, siblings Harry, Danny, MaryAnn, Jeff, Mark and Peter, Father-in-law Edward Ramm, Mother-in-law Shirley Ramm and brother laws Edward and Ronald Ramm.
Carl is survived by his Wife of 45 years Glenna J. Wilson (Ramm), children Carlton, Jr. (Krista) Wilson, Lindsey (Antione) Houston and Chad (Jessica) Wilson. Grandchildren Ariana (Alanna) Houston, Jenna Wilson, Jayden C. Houston, Carli Wilson, Jase Wilson, Bria Houston, Emma Wilson, Chad Wilson Jr. and Antoine (Andee) Carter-Houston. He is also survived by his brother Bill Wilson and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive guests at Walter Funeral Home 4653 Glendale Ave, Toledo Ohio 43614 on Sunday April 6, 2025, from 2:00pm-4:00pm with memorial service starting at 4:00pm.
The family would like to thank Dr Shahid and staff at the Mercy Perrysburg Cancer Center and Dr. Kumar with Mercy Oregon Clinic for there kind and compassionate care over the last year.
