Carmela Campanella Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ruggiero Family Memorial Home - East Boston on Dec. 15, 2025.
Carmela M. (Pascucci) Campanella, affectionately known as Camille, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, at the age of 97. Born on March 27, 1928, in Boston, MA, she was the cherished daughter of the late Giuseppe and Olimpia (Mattarzo) Pascucci. Camille was the loving wife of the late Bart Campanella, who preceded her in death 11 years prior, and together they shared a life full of love and dedication.
Camille's role as a homemaker was far more than a job; it was her calling. She created a warm and welcoming home where family and friends always felt loved and cared for. Her kitchen was the heart of the home, filled with the aromas of her exceptional cooking and baking. Camille's passion for family dinners, holidays, and gatherings was the fabric of her life, making her the true matriarch of her family.
She is survived by her devoted children, Sharon Dillon and her husband David of East Boston, and Renee Campanella and her companion Gus LaFace of Middleton. Camille was a loving sister to the late Anthony Pascucci and Anne Panzini. Her legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren, Michael and his wife Deanna, Derek, and her late grandson DJ (David). Her joy was multiplied as a great-grandmother to Jade, who brought her immeasurable happiness.
Camille's life was a testament to the power of kindness and love. She had a gentle spirit that drew people to her, and her presence was a source of comfort and joy to all who knew her. Her unwavering love and support for her family were the cornerstones of her life, and her guidance and wisdom will be deeply missed.
Family and friends will honor Camille's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston, on Wednesday, December 17th from 10:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M before leaving in procession to Sacred Heart Parish, Brooks Street, East Boston, for a funeral Mass celebrating her life at 12:00 Noon. Services will conclude with Camille being laid to rest with her beloved husband, Bart, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. May they rest in peace.
