Carmella Pompino Obituary

Carmella T. "Bella" Pompino, of Old Forge, died Monday afternoon at Community Medical Center. Her husband Charles J., died April 4, 1992. Born in Old Forge and was educated at Old Forge High School she was the daughter of the late Dominick and Louise Tagliaterra Loiacano. She was a life long parishioner of St. Mary's Church at Prince of Peace Parish, Old Forge. Her family was the center of her life; she enjoyed cooking and spending time with them. Bella loved Christmas and all the wonder that came with it. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many, who will be dearly missed; and when they see a Betty Boop doll, Bella's favorite doll from her youth, she will be remembered and cherished for the love she gave and received. Surviving are a daughter Louise Baldauff and husband, Bill, Old Forge; a son Victor and wife, Jodie, Satellite Beach, FL; a devoted companion, Tom Jones, Old Forge; four grandchildren, Tara Ann, Jenna Marie, Miranda and Victor Jr.; a Sister Eleanor Luzio, Old Forge; Nieces and Nephews. Three brothers, Frank, Santo and Anthony Loiacono preceded her in death. Her funeral will be Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church at Prince of Peace Parish, 123 West Grace St., Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph J. Cipriano. Interment will follow in Old Forge Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Please visit www.semiancares.com to share memories or extend condolences.
