Carmen Alvarez Obituary
Carmen Z. Alvarez, age 97, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 27, 2024. She was a wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother; and will be greatly missed. Carmen is preceded in death by her parents; Fidencia Garcia and Miguel Zavala; her loving husband; Amador Alvarez Sr.; her son; Tony Alvarez; and her brothers; Pedro Zavala, Miguel Zavala, Cruz Zavala, Epifanio Zavala, Martin Zavala, Jesus Zavala, Rosa Zavala, and Lorenza Zavala. She is survived by her dearest children; Amador Alvarez Jr., Larry Alvarez Sr., Vicente Alvarez, Tommy Alvarez, Alex Alvarez, Sophia Perez, Aurora Benitez and Rumalda Garcia; her siblings; Lupe Zavala, and Maria Zavala; and her 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many extended family and friends to cherish and honor her memory.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, September 04, 2024 at Sunset Funeral Home- Americas with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 05, 2024 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church followed by a Committal Service at 11:15 am at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
