Carmen Mae (Lakoduk) Enerson passed away unexpectedly on November 11th 2025 in her home.
A Funeral Service will be 11:00AM, Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, ND.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00PM, Monday, November 17, 2025, at Parkway Funeral Service, 2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck. A prayer service will begin at 7:00PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service.
Burial will be held at the Mandan Union Cemetery.
Carmen was born September 6th, 1971, in Bismarck ND to Judy and Cliff Lakoduk. She was raised in Bismarck and graduated from Bismarck High School in 1990.
After graduation Carmen met and married the love of her life, Jason on July 11th 1998. Carmen currently worked for the ND Department of Health and Human Services Children and Family Services.
Carmen was a Dog Mom to Emma-Grace, Maggie, and Brandy.
Carmens favorite holiday was Halloween. She loved spooky movies. She planned and instigated many practical jokes, anyone Carmen loved could be her next victim. Carmen loved Christmas baking, cooking, canning, dyeing Easter Eggs, crafting, the New York Yankees, and Girls Camping week-the perfect opportunity for many practical jokes. Most of all Carmen loved her family and friends and spending time with them.
Carmen was an inspiration to all who loved her. At the age of 5 she was diagnosed with Diabetes. She lived life managing this horrible disease. She faced these challenges head on. She got-up, dressed-up and showed-up everyday for what life handed her. Carmen was given the gift of life through organ donation and the past 4 months were some of her best days.
Carmen is survived by her Husband, Jason; Parents, Judy and Cliff Lakoduk; Chocolate Lab, Emma-Grace; Brother-in-law, Justin (Amber) Enerson, Niece Taylor and Nephew Austin; Mother-in-law, Darlene Enerson; Aunts, Phyllis (Bob) Duffy, Shriley (Arlen) Simons; Uncle, Norman Lakoduk; Sisters from another mother, Cheryl Anderson, Rhonda Larson; Numerous cousins who loved her as a sister.
Carmen is preceded in death by Grandparents, Abe and Lena Miller, Pete and Ruth Lakoduk; Step-grandmother, Grace Lakoduk; Uncles, Alvin Miller, Eugene Miller, Moses Lakoduk; Aunts Margaret Smedshammer; Father-in Law, Gene Enerson.
