Carmen (Rosie) Melendez, the most loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend entered eternal rest on December 31, 2025 at the age of 97Born on September 4, 1928, Rosie lived a life filled with love for her family and friends. She grew up in New York, and spent most of her life in Manhattan and the Bronx. Everyone whose life she touched remembers her with the utmost love. She told the best stories and danced a “mean” salsa, and she will be forever remembered and missed.Rosie is survived by her daughters Anna and Millie, her son Jerry, her son-in-laws Mike and Henry, daughter-in-law Doreen, her grandchildren, Jeannie, Jessica, Tamara, Kristie, Jessie, Jerry, Monique, April, Christian and Conor, and her great grandchildren along with lifelong friends. She was predeceased by her sons Joseph and Sam.A service will be held for Rosie from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6 at Raymond Funeral Home in Norwalk, CT followed by a burial service at Rose Hill Cemetery in Linden, NJ.
