Carmen Esther Rivera passed away on March 14th, 2026. She was born on October 9th, 1939 in Maricao, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Teleforo Soto and Anatolia Padilla.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She is survived by her eldest daughter, Elsie Collazo, as well as her six grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carmen taught strength and always promoted love among her family. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. May she rest in light and peace.
Viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Alvarez de Paterson, 267 Park Avenue, Paterson, NJ 07513.

Esposa, madre, abuela y hermana amada. Le sobrevive su hija mayor, Elsie Collazo, así como sus seis nietos y bisnietos. Carmen enseñó fortaleza y siempre promovió el amor entre su familia. Será profundamente extrañada y amada para siempre. Que descanse en luz y paz.
