Carmen Rodriguez

Carmen A. Rodriguez, of Bakersfield, CA, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025 at the age of 84 after a second battle with cancer.

She was born on June 20, 1941 in Oxnard, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 58 years, Albert C. Rodriguez Sr., her daughter, Alberta (Russell) Franco, her Parents, Nellie and Juan Acevedo, Her brothers, Manuel, Tino and Bobby Acevedo and her sisters, Jennie Arevalo and Ruth Gutierrez.

She is survived by her remaining five children, Albert (Adriana) Rodriguez Jr., Sylvia (Jaime) Holguin, Eileen (Patrick) Villegas Jr., Susie (Curt) Stayrook, and JoAnn (Rick) Ritter, her sisters, Martha Reveles and Clara Larsen. Additionally, she is survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She loved music. Her favorites included Tina Turner, Tom Jones, Luther Vandross, The Beatles and especially her Mexican music! She really liked to travel and had the opportunity to visit and also live in various places in the USA. She loved to tend to her many plants throughout her yard, mostly to help them grow, but also because she liked to play with the water. She really enjoyed collecting ceramic chickens and teacups, rocks, seashells, books and lots of photographs.
