Carmen Ruth Roznos

Carmen Ruth Roznos, longtime resident of Meadow Vista, California, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025.Born in Hayward, California, on November 3, 1951, Carmen spent her career with Varian in Palo Alto before retiring in the mid-1990s.
After retirement, Carmen and her late husband, James Roznos (who preceded her in death in 2022), spent many joyful years traveling across the United States, Canada, and Mexico in their fifth wheel.
Their favorite and most talked-about adventure took them all the way to Alaska-reaching Deadhorse at the edge of the Arctic Ocean-a journey they cherished for the rest of their lives.
Carmen was known for her generosity and kindness, always ready to help family and friends in times of need. She supported numerous charities and found joy in staying connected with loved ones through frequent phone calls.
Carmen is preceded in death by her husband James Roznos, Mother Betty Ramirez, and Father Jesse Salazar. She is survived by her sister Frances Cowan (Wayne Cowan,) Nephew Miguel Galvin (Julia Montoya,) Grandaughter Audrey Thayer (John Thayer,) Grandsons James Roznos III (Sedona Roznos,) Richard Roznos (Allyson Ahlert,) and Jeff Roznos. Carmen has a total of nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and five grand-nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly and cared for deeply.
A private family gathering will be held, and Carmen's ashes will be spread alongside Jim's on the California coast, where they shared many of their happiest memories together.
