Carmen Renee Shepard 60, of Rochester, NY; formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 1st, 2023. She was born March 16 1963 in Pittsburgh, PA, the fourth child to Elizabeth Ida (Dothard) Hill and the late William Roscoe Robinson. Carmen graduated from George Westinghouse HS and attended Community College of Allegheny County. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Christian Education in 2012.
Carmen joined the Army in 1983 and honorably served for 8 years. While in the military, Renee met and married the love of her life, Randie Shepard Sr. They remained devoted to one another throughout their 37 years together. To their union were born, Randie Jr, and Andrew Jonathon.
The couple traveled while in the military to Virginia, Hawaii, Louisiana and Texas. Renee worked for several years as a Paraprofessional for the Texas School System. Randie, Renee and the family then settled in her husband's hometown of Rochester, NY, where she continued her profession there as a Paraprofessional.
At the young age of 7, Renee gave her life to the Lord and joined the Calvary Baptist Church of Pittsburgh, PA and was baptized in the Allegheny River. Carmen lastly served the Lord faithfully at Emanuel Temple Church of Rochester for many years. She served as Vice President of the Usher's Board, a Sunday School Teacher, and a member of both the Pastor's Aide and Hospitality Ministry.
Carmen Renee lived her life in love and service of others. exhibited in the attention she gave to her students, her union brothers and sisters and her church family. Renee is the epitome of parenting and grandparenting exhibited in the time she gave to raising her children and grandchildren in the admonition of the Lord.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are her Husband and Best Friend Randie Sr; sons, Randie Jr. (Anu) and Andrew; grandchildren, Randie Idris III, Mackenzie Adrian and Autumn Renee; her mother, Elizabeth Ida Hill of PA; siblings; William Walton of NC, Missionary Josephine Robinson of PA, Evangelist Michelle Jones of MI, Victoria Scott (Tyrone) of PA, Apostle. William E. Robinson (Evang. April J.) of SC, Jonathon W. Robinson of PA and Bishop Robert C. Robinson (Minister Tiffany S.) of SC; brother In-law, Kelvin J. Sr; sisters- in-law, Brenda Atkins (Eugene), and Linda Shepard; and a host of many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
