Carmen Smith Obituary
Carmen Rose Ziegelmann was born on June 10, 1959 in Breckenridge, MN the daughter of Earl and Darlene (Zettler) Ziegelmann. She grew up in Great Bend, ND attending Great Bend Elementary and graduating from Wahpeton High School in 1977.
Carmen worked at Minn-Dak Coop and Prime Board in Wahpeton, ND after graduating from High School.
Carmen and Sheldon Smith were married in Brookings, SD in 2011 and made their home in Bruce, SD.
Carmen while living in Bruce worked at Casey's, Larson Door in Brookings, the United Living Community as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Brookings and The Ridge in Bruce.
She loved arts and crafts, playing cards, gardening, softball, reading and camping. She was outgoing, personable, hardworking, honest, candid, genuine person.
Carmen is survived by her husband, Sheldon Smith; her son, David Egerdahl; her daughter, Jessica Jenners; her grandchildren, Lenae Egerdahl, Theodore Egerdahl, Alexis Ripper and Naomi Egerdahl; her sister's, Donna (David) Buskohl and Vickie (Kevin) Nobrega.
She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Ziegelmann; her two sister's Cheryl Kubela and Dawn Luick and her grandparents.
