Carmen Thomas-Mitchell Obituary
Carmen proudly devoted her professional life to nursing. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, she worked with empathy and commitment at Friends of the Family, touching countless lives with her gentle care and unwavering dedication. Her colleagues and patients alike cherished her warmth, kindness, and unmatchable spirit.
Family was at the heart of Carmen's world. She was a cherished friend and a source of warmth and guidance to all who knew her. Her legacy is one of love, compassion, and community service.
A Celebration of Carmen's Life will be held at Gregory B. Levett & Son Funeral Home, Flat Shoals Location in Decatur, Georgia, on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to gather in honor of Carmen's remarkable life and the joy she brought to others.
Following the service, Carmen will be laid to rest at Resthaven Cemetery in Decatur, GA, at 1:00 p.m. Her resting place will be a serene spot where family and friends can visit and celebrate the vibrant life she lived.
Arrangements are lovingly provided by Gregory B. Levett & Sons Funeral Homes & Crematory - South Dekalb.
Carmen Miranda Thomas-Mitchell will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her life was a testament to the power of kindness and dedication, and her memory will forever be cherished by her family, friends, and all those she touched during her incredible journey.
