Carmon Ann Conque

Our hearts are heavy as we announce the passing of our mother, Carmon Ann Conque, who left us on March 21, 2026, after a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity. She was one of the hearts of our family – our cheerleader, our touchstone, the one aways with the time to listen or a shoulder to lean on and the one who always knew how to make a house feel like a home.

A devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose love and kindness touched those she knew. She was also a mother figure to many of the young people in her children's lives. Outside of the home, Carmon spent over 40 years in business offices, including time with the La Porte Independent School District, where she was known for her hard work, dedication, and her willingness to listen.

Carmon loved working outdoors with her plants, reading and putting together puzzles. Any time she could spend with her children and grandchildren was cherished. Even in the last few years of her life, as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy took away her ability to walk and speak, it never took away her heart. You would see her eyes light up when any her family were near and the pure joy shining in her eyes as she welcomed her great grandchildren by holding their little hands.

Her legacy is one of kindness, family, and unconditional love. She is survived by her sister Brenda Bowen, her children Yvette, Bobby, and Ronnie Vasquez, her two daughters-in-love, her six beautiful grandchildren, two grandchildren-in-love, her five growing great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her love and strength will remain with us always.

On the afternoon of April 18, 2026, Carmon's family and friends will gather to celebrate her life in a private home per her wishes.
