Mrs. Carol Ann Oliver, 82, Hartsburg, MO., passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025 at University Hospital in Columbia. She was born May 12, 1943 in St. Louis, MO., and was the only daughter of four children born to the late Elmer and Mildred (Nashtweih) Dencker. On October 1, 1983 she was united in marriage to Michael D. Oliver Sr. who survives of the home.

Shortly after marriage, Carol and Michael Oliver Sr fell in love with the small town of Hartsburg, and decided to build their life there on a small farm where they have resided since.

She enjoyed her morning coffee while sitting on her expansive deck overlooking her beautiful scenic yard of the home where she resided for forty-two years. Carol liked to garden, and enjoyed an afternoon beer while listening to talk radio shows. Above all she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol was employed with both Federal and State Government until her retirement from Division of Probation and Parole from the State of Missouri.

She was a faithful member of Peace United Church of Christ in Hartsburg, and loved attending the masses and growing her faith.

In addition to her husband: Michael Oliver Sr.; Carol is survived by one son: Michael D. Oliver Jr. of Hartsburg: one daughter: Linda Guinn; three grandsons; three granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; sister in-law: Martha Dencker of Columbia and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Mildred Dencker; brothers: Ronald Dencker, Elmer Dencker, Raymond Dencker.

Visitation for Carol will be Wednesday, September 17, 2025 in the Meriwether Room at Tyler M. Woods Funeral Director from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m.

Burial will be private for the family in Jacksonville Veterans Cemetery.

Arrangements for Mrs. Oliver are under the direction of TYLER M. WOODS FUNERAL DIRECTOR, 611 E. Capitol Ave. Jefferson City, Missouri 65101. (573) 636-2424.
