It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Baughman, age 87, who departed this world on March 10, 2026, at her loving daughter's home in Gainesville, Florida.
She was born on May 11, 1938, in Erie, PA to the late Earl Adelbert and Sadie Vee Raymond.
Carol was an avid bingo player, loved assembling puzzles and reading Amish novels. She was a homemaker and worked for Keystone Laundry and Troy Laundry in her earlier years.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she had many friends and enjoyed attending the church's temples in Orlando and Tallahassee on a regular basis with dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Baughman; son, Gary Baughman; granddaughter, Denise Marie Bearce and grandson, Benjamin Ryan Baughman; and her 6 siblings, Thelma Burton, Burton Raymond, Willis Raymond, Thelma Raymond, Thora Thomas and Jean Drain.
A beloved mother, Carol leaves behind her cherished daughter, Karen Lyons and her husband, David of Gainesville, Florida; 5 sons, Randy Baughman (Ginger); Robert Baughman (Rebecca) of Girard, PA; Timothy Baughman (Lisa) of Erie, PA; and Jody Baughman of Erie, PA. 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10th Street, Erie, Pennsylvania 16502.
There will be no services per Carol’s request. She will be laid to rest in Erie at a later date.
May her spirit find peace, and may we carry forth the love she imparted to us all.
