Carol Melvina Beerman was born on September 20, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois to Everett and Ruth (Gray) Wiltfong. Her family moved to Omaha, Nebraska and then to Bellevue, Nebraska. Carol was married to Edwin Beerman in Omaha on December 26, 1958, and they were married for six years before they went their separate ways. Carol worked hard to obtain her GED and then went to work in the Omaha area. Carol was remarried to Edwin on December 26, 1992, and they spent many great years together.
Carol enjoyed participating in bible studies. She shared many laughs with a senior center group called the “Granny Apples” where they shared in activities, especially bean bag baseball. Carol loved when they lived in Arkansas. She enjoyed watching TV, time on her iPad, gardening, crafting, crocheting and sewing. Carol cherished her pets and most of all her grandchildren.
Carol died on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, Iowa at the age of 81 years, seven months and 28 days.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Lucille, Everett, Tom and Raymond; and stepson, Ken Hunter. She is survived by her husband, Edwin Beerman of Council Bluffs; children, Elizabeth and her husband Randy Jurgensen of Des Moines, Iowa, Jerry Beerman and his wife Jomyra of Logan, Iowa, Sherry and her husband Robert Strum of Omaha, James Beerman and his wife Janet of Omaha, Kenneth Wismont and his wife Cheri of Omaha, Amy and her husband Brian Walther of Bellevue, Nebraska and Kevin Wismont of Omaha; 20 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Adlyn Ohl of Denison, Iowa and Joyce Wiltfong of Boise, Idaho; and many other relatives and friends.
