Carol A. Bilger, 70 of Northampton, PA, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital - Bethlehem, PA. Born April 29, 1955 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Harry VanEmburg and the late Reta (Riley) VanEmburg. Carol was the loving wife of Michael Bilger, who passed away in 2012.

After graduating from Phillipsburg High School, she went to work as a bank teller at Valley Federal for a few years. Carol's working career continued at AM Best Insurance, and in her 32 years there she worked many titles, most recently project supervisor. While working at AM Best, Carol also worked for the Morning Call, delivering papers for 20 years. Carol had a deep love for her work, often spending her off time continuing on projects. She was an immense Beatles fan, loving their music her whole life, and enjoyed playing in online acronym game rooms, which is where she met her soulmate Michael.

Survivors: sons, Justin Volk of Northampton, PA, Brian Volk of Nazareth, PA, daughter, Steph Weaver, grandchildren Zack Volk, Anthony Weaver, Justin Volk, Jr., and Riley Volk, brother, Robert VanEmburg and wife Cheryl, step-children, Tim Bilger and wife Rachel, Bill Bilger, Dede Rathburn, Amy Robinson, Amanda Rowe, and 18 step grandchildren. She was predeceased by sister, Jean McCray.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family. Schisler Funeral Homes, Northampton, PA, have been entrusted with her care and service.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to Foxy's Cradle, Kitten Rescue located at 5260 Overlook Rd, Coplay, PA 18037

I love you so much mom. I already miss you like crazy. You were the absolute best mother a son could ever ask for. Then when my sons were born, you were absolutely as great of a mimi to then, as your mom was a Nana to us. I'll do everything I'm my power to honor your memory in the most beautiful ways possible. I love you and miss you with all if my heart.....until we see eachother again in heaven.
