Carol (Milano) Cacchione, "Nana", a resident of West Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on October 23, 2025. She was born on November 14, 1938, in Erie, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Anthony and Helen (Fields) Milano.
Carol was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her large Italian family. Her love was expressed through the meals she prepared, the home she kept, and her fondness for doing laundry. Always keeping busy, she found joy in antiquing and restoring old treasures-turning forgotten items into something beautiful once again.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Cacchione; her son, Norman Cacchione Jr.; her grandson, Clinton James Stein; her granddaughter, Christina Cacchione; her brothers, Robert, David, and Richard Milano; and a sister, Jeanne Taylor.
Carol is survived by her sister, Geraldine Hammond; her children, John Cacchione, Tamara Cacchione, Michelle Shirley, and Kelli Stein; her grandchildren, Nicole Lehr, Jason Shirley, Anthony D'Albora, Samantha Stein, Vincent Cacchione, and Patrick Cacchione. She also leaves behind many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family in the Erie area. Her home was filled with photos of all those she loved-a reflection of the deep pride and affection she held for her family.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held in Erie, Pennsylvania, at a later date.
