Carol Catmull, a loving mother, talented artist, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Parke View Care Center in Burley, Idaho. She was 81 years old.
Carol was born on December 5, 1943, in Rigby, Idaho, to Ferrell and Leah Catmull. She spent her formative years in Rupert, Idaho, where she grew up surrounded by her seven siblings. Carol attended Ricks College for a year before embarking on her most cherished career: being a devoted mom and homemaker.
While her primary focus was always her family, Carol was also exceptionally talented artistically. Her creativity spanned from fashion to flowers and everything in between, leaving a touch of beauty wherever she went. Her creative talents were admired by many. Carol lived most of her life in the Rupert-Burley area and also resided in Hailey, Idaho, for many years, enriching each community with her unique spirit.
Carol is survived by her devoted sons, Scott (Vandy) Stephens, and Steve (Cassi) Stephens; her grandsons, Sam Stephens and Kai Stephens; and her siblings, Brent Catmull, Kay Catmull, Kurt Catmull, and Mark Catmull.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ferrell and Leah Catmull; her brother, Ferrell Catmull Jr.; her sister, Laura Catmull; and her beloved son, David Stephens.
A service to remember Carol will be held for family and friends at the LDS Church in Heyburn, Idaho, 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2025, Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Joel Heward Hansen Mortuary.
