Carol Chambers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cypress Pointe Cremation - St. Louis on Feb. 4, 2026.
Carol Marie (Bell) Chambers born January 22, 1942, in St. Louis, MO to Edward and Oma Bell. Asleep in Jesus January 16, 2026.

She lived a life deeply devoted to her family. She was immensely proud of her children and loved honoring not only her present family, but also those who came before. For many years, she had a strong interest in ancestry and genealogy and delighted in sharing the stories of her ancestors, keeping their memories alive through her storytelling.

Carol had a wide range of interests and there was never a lack of conversation when she was present. Above all, she loved being in nature. She found joy in collecting rocks, leaves, and twigs, transforming her "lucky finds" into beautiful works of art. Her creativity and appreciation for beauty were evident in everything she did.

She loved drawing, painting, writing, and photography. Her appreciation of the arts extended to music. She enjoyed a wide variety-from Riverdance and Trans-Siberian Orchestra to George Michael. As she aged, dancing became both her passion and her remedy, easing her aches and pains and bringing her joy.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law, and friend.

She had a beautiful soul and a generous heart; her presence touched many lives. Life will never be the same without her, but her spirit will live on in the many hearts she touched and in the memories lovingly held by those who knew her.

She is survived by her son Don Chambers, daughters Lisa Chambers (fiancé David Raub), Sherry (Patrick) Lambing; grandchildren Anthony (Rachael) Lambing, Nicholas (Brittni) Lambing, Peter Jacob Chambers (fiancé Olivia Grote); great grandsons Hudson Hankins and Walker Lambing.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years Cecil Chambers, son John Chambers, granddaughter Brittany Chambers, her friend of over 75 years Genny Hulen, her siblings and many family members and friends.

According to her wishes, no services.
