Chisholm, Carol Jean (née Baker), passed into Jesus’ presence on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.
Beloved wife of Dale Chisholm; dearest mother of Nathan (Marjorie) Chisholm, Joy (Jason) Lower and Paul (Kendra) Chisholm; dear grandmother of Hannah, Rebekah, Leah, Anabrooke, Kyler, Nathaniel, Brooke, Bridger and Corbin; loving daughter of the late Raymond Eugene and Berna Baker (née Carpenter); sister of Janice (Steve) Wiler, Marilyn (Doug) Cuthbert, Russ (Dolly) Baker and Ellen (Bill) Hobson; our dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend of many.
Carol grew up on a farm in southern Michigan and earned degrees from Huntington University and Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville. She reflected God’s image and Jesus’ example by devoting her life to being a wife to Dale and mother to their children. She also served others in multiple roles: teacher, camp counselor, Sunday School and Bible School leader, Scout leader, pianist, friend to international students, and aide to the elderly.
Services: Funeral service at West Hills Church, 13250 South Outer 40 Road, Town and Country, Saturday, September 27, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside service at Bankers Cemetery, Hillsdale County, MI, Wednesday, October 1, at 12:00 p.m. If desired, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association or REACH Reproductive Health.
