Carol J. Christensen, 87, of Russell, PA., died on Tuesday March 24, 2026, at the Warren General Hospital, after an extended illness.
She was born February 7, 1939, in Stoneham, PA. Carol was the daughter of Edison and Clara Cole Bailey. She was a Warren and Russell, PA., area resident, most of her life. She was a 1957 graduate of Eisenhower High School and Edinboro State Teachers College where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She was employed as a Teacher with Calvary Chapel and Warren County Christian School.
She was a member of Russell United Methodist Church. She was an avid sewer and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by her 5 Children - Eric “Rick” Christensen and wife, Heidi of N. Warren, PA., Jill Christensen and companion, Jeff Andersen of Pleasant Twp., Amy Casbohm and husband, David of Warren, PA., Jerry Christensen of Scandia, PA., Tom Christensen and wife, Stephanie of Morgantown, W.V., 2 Sisters – Marilyn Bailey of Warren, PA., and Shirley Kelly of Zephyrhillis , FL., 7 Grandchildren – David, Jacob, Daniel, Heather Christensen, Damon Anderson, Alexis and Sophia Christensen, 9 Great Grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, John I. “Bink” Christensen, Jr. whom she married June 16, 1961, in Russell, PA. who died June 15, 2020
2 Brothers – Gary Bailey and Robert Bailey.
Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Warren County Memorial Park. The Donald E.
