Carol “Carrie Ann” Louise Gilmore Clark, a homemaker, entered peacefully into eternal rest at her residence on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the age of 72. She was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Carol was a 1972 graduate of L. W. Higgins High School. She was formerly employed as a substitute teacher and nurse’s aide. Carol was a faithful member of Providence Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as an usher. Beloved wife of Donald Ray Clark, Sr. Devoted mother of Rachelle and Joseph Paul. Stepmother of Peggy Taylor, Ray Jr., Zantriel, Carlos, Shantell and Simone Videau. Daughter of the late Jack Dempsey Gilmore and Ida Mae Hall Gilmore. Loving sister of Joe Louis Gilmore, Ernest Gilmore, Olivia Lewis, Debra Walker, and the late Jack Dempsey, Jr., Thurman Lee Gilmore, and Lorraine Gilmore. Best friend of the late Brenda Bazile and Lisa McPherson. Also cherishing her memories are 16 grandchildren 35 great grandchildren, and a host nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastor, officers, and members of Providence Missionary Baptist Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 2311 Seventh Street, New Orleans, LA on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 10:00a.m. Pastor Lawrence St. Cyre, Sr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the church. Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service, 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA.
