Carol Lee Curless, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on July 30, 1938, in Reading, Ohio, Carol lived a life rich in love, laughter, and connection, spending her final years in Milford, Ohio.

Carol was a vibrant individual whose passion for life was evident in everything she did. She was a proud graduate of high school and maintained a lifelong love of learning, often found with her nose buried in a book. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was actively involved in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she found community and solace.

In her younger years, Carol was an athlete who excelled in bowling, volleyball, and basketball. Her boundless energy and enthusiasm for sports not only shaped her spirited approach to life but also fostered a deep appreciation for competition and camaraderie. As a devoted mother, she took a keen interest in her children's individual pursuits, always encouraging them to follow their passions.

Family was everything to Carol. She cherished her time spent with her daughter, Kim (Greg) Miller, her son, Jeff (Kathy) Curless, and their families. She was the proud grandmother of seven: Jeffery (Falicia) Curless, Joshua (Hannah) Curless, Anna (Nick) Livingston, Jared Miller, and a great-grandmother to the spirited Berkeley Livingston. Carol's love for her family was palpable; her kitchen was a gathering place where she cooked and baked enough to feed an army, ensuring that every meal was a heartwarming occasion filled with laughter and shared stories.

In addition to her culinary talents, Carol was an ardent supporter of the Cincinnati Bengals, eagerly following her team and sharing her excitement with family and friends.

A funeral service to honor the life of Carol Lee Curless will be held at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, on September 19, 2025. The visitation will commence at 11:00 AM, followed by the service at 12:00 PM

Her laughter, kindness, and loving spirit will forever be missed, but the memories she created will remain etched in the hearts of all who knew her.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Curless, parents, Edward Grau, Miriam Grau, and grandson Aaron Miller.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in her name to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
