Memorial Services for Carol Deseth of Morris, Minnesota will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at 10:30 AM at the Pedersen Funeral Home in Morris. Reverend Chris Richards will be officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Summit Cemetery in Morris.
Carol Jean Deseth, daughter of Harvey and Clair (Muenchow) Baum, was born on August 9, 1942 in Long Prairie, Minnesota. She graduated from Long Prairie High School in 1960. On July 31, 1971, Carol was united in marriage to Thomas Deseth in Long Prairie. The couple made their home in Morris and raised three sons: Robbie, Darrin, and Mike. Aside from being a loving wife, great mom, and caring grandma, Carol was active in the community and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed listening to country music, fishing, making ceramics, gambling, and traveling. Carol and Tom spent many winters in Needles, California following their retirement. Above all, Carol treasured spending time with her loved ones. Her strong commitment to her family and friends never wavered, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Carol lived a simple life filled with love, kindness, and grace. She touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and goodwill. Her presence will be deeply missed by many.
Carol passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at West Wind Village. She was 82 years old.
Left to cherish Carol’s memory are her sons: Darrin (Melissa) Deseth of Ironton, MN and Mike (Samantha) Deseth of Alberta, MN; stepdaughter, Tammy (William) Buck; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces, and nephews. Preceding Carol in death were her husband, Tom; son, Robbie; parents, Harvey and Clara; brothers: Kenneth, Harlan, Larry, Ronnie, and sister, Betty.
Pedersen Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements for Carol.
