Carol Kay (Roby) Doman, 81, was born February 5, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas to Maxwell F. and Dot Mateel (Keller) Roby. She was accepted into her Heavenly Father's arms Saturday, July 19, 2025 surrounded by her family at the Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital in Medicine Lodge, Kansas.

Sometime within Carol's 1st year, her family moved back to Alva, Oklahoma. It was here in which Carol grew up and received her education. She attended Kindergarten at Horace Mann, 1st-6th grades at Longfellow, 7th-9th at Alva Jr High and 10th-12th at Alva Sr. High in which she graduated wit the class of 1962. Carol often spoke of her childhood with fond memories stating she had a really good childhood! She and her dear life-long friend, Fleta (Mercer) Reed, sure knew how to have fun, whether it was playing paper dolls, roller skating, filling the wagon with goodies and "taking off", or sneaking out in her mother's car.

After graduation, foregoing a full-ride nursing scholarship, she married the love of her life, Paul Lester Doman, Jr on July 9, 1962 in Alva, Oklahoma. With this union came two little girls, Sheila Gaye and Corinna Jo Doman, whom she raised as her own. Paul and Carol went on to have 4 more children, one son Lester Allen and 3 more daughters Dianna Kay, Carol Ann and Cheryl Lynn.

She and her husband raised their family in Sharon and Medicine Lodge, Kansas. Besides being a homemaker, she and Paul ran the first "self-serve" gas station in Medicine Lodge, Gas-A-Way from 1971-1980. In 1980 Carol went to work for the Physicians Clinic for Dr. Meador and Dr. Hoffer. She retired from the Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital/Physicians Clinic in November of 2021 after forty-one years of service.

She and Paul moved back to Oklahoma to a little place called Nescatunga at the Great Salt Plains Lake where she enjoyed fishing, watching the wildlife, and working in her garden. She could raise anything from flowers to vegetables it seemed without even trying! She apparently provided the best café in town for Hummingbirds as she always had at least a dozen of them feasting every year. She especially enjoyed having the grandkids down to take them fishing and let them enjoy nature. Nothing made her happier than having visits from her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She always enjoyed preparing for and hosting the big Thanksgiving and Christmas meals throughout the years. She hosted the Doman Family Christmas for 62 years.

Carol had a beautiful sweet and giving soul. If you knew her then you loved her. She was a very smart lady not afraid to speak her mind when needed. She was a hard worker always making sure her family didn't go without. She was a wonderful cook, especially when it came to pan fried chicken and pies, not to mention her brisket and sand plum jelly. She was always so thoughtful and was known for sending out cards always with a special handwritten note inside with the prettiest penmanship. One of her favorite things to do was go thrifting with her "girls" whether that be her family or friends. She loved her family fiercely and they loved her in return.

Carol was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Alva, Oklahoma before moving her membership to the First United Methodist Church in Medicine Lodge, Kansas. For the last few years, she attended the Nescatunga Bible Church of Nescatunga, Oklahoma, where she very active with their bible study group. She so enjoyed the bible study ladies and acting as hostess in her home. She was the hostess with the mostest as she loved decorating for the holiday and having little favors/gifts and activities to do along with the study. Carol also served many years on the Nescatunga Rural Fire Department Association Board and was an active member of Northwest Oklahoma Genealogy Society, in Alva. With her beautiful penmanship and eye for detail she often served as secretary as well as treasurer.

Preceding her in death was Paul, her husband of fifty-seven and a half years. Her daughter Sheila Gaye Doman Mayfield, her parents, one brother Max Roby, Jr and sister-in-law's Mary Alice (Fisher) Roby, Sandra (Chick) Doman, and Dorothy (Rebel) Doman, brother-in-law William "Bill" Doman.

She is survived by her son, Lester Allen (Paula) Doman Medicine Lodge, Kansas and daughters, Corinna Jo Doman, Medicine Lodge, Kansas, Dianna Kay (Bill) Veatch, Emporia, Kansas, Carol Ann (Lance) Crouch, Scott City, Kansas, and Cheryl Lynn (Steve) Ellis, Alva, Oklahoma.
