Carol B. Edeline

Carol Barbara (Arnold) Edeline, 85, of Ellington, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 5, 2025, in the comfort of her daughter's home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 28, 1940, in Horseheath, United Kingdom, she was the daughter of the late Emmy (Jonker) Arnold. Carol re-emigrated to the United States in 2011 and made Ellington her home for many years.

Carol was an avid reader, loved playing solitaire, enjoyed listening to opera, and had an extraordinary fondness for owls. She was active in the Ellington Senior Center, especially as a joyful member of the Ellington Singers, where she cherished the friendships and community she found there.

She leaves her beloved daughter, Samantha Edeline Mira, and her husband, Anthony, of Somers, her two cherished grandchildren, Juliette and Owen, as well as her "4 legged granddaughter Willow" who brought immense joy to her life. She was predeceased by her brother, Benjamin Arnold.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday, December 21, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Somers Funeral Home, 354 Main Street, Somers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 22, at 10 a.m. at St. Michael's Church, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow. Please meet directly at the church.

Per Carol's wishes, her final resting place will be alongside her mother and brother in Bidart, France.
