Carol Gilliam Obituary
Carol was born on September 15, 1956, in Montclair, New Jersy a daughter of the late Melkiah and Copeland (Gaines) Gilliam. She graduated from Montclair High School and earned her associates degree. Carol spent her working career as a secretary working for Mountainside Glen Ridge, New Jersey where she retired after 31 years of service.
She cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Was known as Miss Fixit to her family and loved to cook and gather for family meals.
Surviving is her daughter, Kimberly Gilliam and her companion, Jack Smith of East Stroudsburg, grandchildren, Bazir, Amare, and Jace, brothers, Leon Gilliam and Brian Gilliam, both of New Jersey, nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A memorial service is planned for the spring.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Yanac Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. 35 Sterling Road, Mount Pocono, where online condolences can be made @ www.yanacfuneralhome.com.
