Carol Ann Goodwin

Carol Ann Goodwin of Miami, OK passed from this life Monday, January 13, 2025, at Miami Integris Hospital. Carol Ann was born on August 1, 1942, to William Quentin and Mary Louise (Hall) Moore in Tulsa, OK. She had lived in Fairland and Miami most of her life. Carol Ann attended school at Fairland, graduating in 1960. She was a proud member of the Cherokee Nation. Carol Ann worked for years with Green Country Bank, which became IBC Bank. She also enjoyed working at Pine Place Apartments as Activities Coordinator. Through her adult life she was a Fairland First United Methodist Church member. Carol Ann enjoyed being social, she was a member of a local sorority and enjoyed being with a group of friends and classmates from Fairland. Carol Ann was preceded in death by her parents Quentin and Mary Moore, her husband Boyd Goodwin and loving companion Art Bunn.
Survivors include her children Mark Detherage and his wife Eva of Fairland, Mike Detherage and his wife Connie of Fairland, Mendy Detherage and Bill Jackson of Miami, Mandy Ross and her husband Chad of Miami, a brother Bill Moore and his wife Ines of Miami, her sister Debbie Stogsdill and her husband Larry of St. Maries, Idaho, her grandchildren Lacey Fergus and her husband Chris, Kylie McPhail and her husband Tyler, Bailey Detherage and Mia Ross, her great grandchildren Gavin Fergus, Kaden Fergus, Jude McPhail, Landon McPhail, Cohen McPhail and Hendrix Detherage, her best friend Patsy Williams, the children's father Bob Detherage and a very special thank you to her caregivers, Ellen Biddle, Linda Ragsdale, Jessica Biddle, Janet Vaughn, Wanda Hogan and Denise Barton.
Visitation will be on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.
Carol Ann's service is 1:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Fairland First United Methodist Church with Reverend Carol Minter officiating. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Fairland.
Casketbearers will be Chad Ross, Bill Jackson, Chris Fergus, Gavin Fergus, Tyler McPhail, and Brian Stogsdill.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Fairland First United Methodist Church.
