Carol Grudzinski Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brickman Bros. Funeral Home - Willoughby on Apr. 7, 2025.
Carol Ann Grudzinski (née Dybzinski), age 66, passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on October 8, 1958 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Thomas and Margaret Dybzinski.
Carol Ann was a devoted homemaker and a cherished wife of 35 years to her husband Gary. Together, they built a life full of love, laughter, and memories. As a mother to three children and grandmother to two, she poured endless support and encouragement into her family, always putting others first. She never missed one of her children's activities, including sporting events, band concerts, school plays, award ceremonies, etc. Her nurturing nature and unwavering faith were a guiding light for all who knew her, always reminding others to put "Faith over Fear."
Carol Ann had a love for antiques and vintage décor, and never missed an opportunity to share special treasures she found with her loved ones. Gardening was another one of her joys, where she found peace in nurturing the beauty of nature. Carol Ann also enjoyed volunteering, where she spent many hours at the Rose-Mary Center and Euclid Hospital, giving of her time and heart for 25 years. She also had a deep love of music and singing, and often joked that her mother had named her Carol because she loved to sing.
She valued the friendships in her life, often gathering for "Girls Nite" with her closest friends, where laughter and love were never in short supply. But above all, it was her family that meant the most to her. Coming from a large family of 10 children, Carol Ann knew the importance of togetherness, and her generosity knew no bounds. She was a friend to all and a mother to many, offering kindness and warmth in every gesture.
She is survived by her husband Gary; children David (Kara), Laura, and Jeffrey (Liza); siblings Frances Gonser (Dennis, deceased), Daniel, Richard (Patricia), Thomas, Paul (Marina), Mary Ann, Jerome (Kimra), Mary Lou Hightower (Ken), and Kathy; grandchildren Jaxon and Everett. She was also a beloved aunt and great aunt to many. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Margaret Dybzinski.
Carol Ann was a true reflection of love, strength, and faith. Her legacy will live on through her family, her kindness, and the countless lives she touched. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
A private Mass and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with close friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, Carol Ann has requested that memorial contributions be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Rest in peace, Carol Ann. You are forever in our hearts.

Carol Ann was a true 'saint'. That word is tossed around sometimes, but she embodied it. I lived across the street from her and observed her life. I went through difficult times and she was always an anchor to speak to. My condolences to the family. She will be missed immensely, I'm sure. A great woman, indeed.
