Carol Hanges Obituary
Carol L. Hanges, of New York, NY entered into eternal rest on April 11, 2022. Carol was predeceased by her beloved husband, Nicholas Hanges. She was the daughter of James E. Ekhaml and Rita Marie Connor Ekhaml. Carol received a BS degree in Mathematics from St. Mary's College, South Bend, IN and then went on to pursue an MS in Mathematics from Purdue University. Prior to her retirement, Carol was the Executive Director, Clinical Trial Systems at Merck. She is survived by her sisters Joanne Ekhaml (Jim), Katherine Obenberger (Chris) and brothers Steve (Bridget) and Bill (Gwen), nieces and nephews Alexandra, David (Katja), Megan, Jessica and Daniel and great nieces Anna and Zoey. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
A visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 from 10 am until noon at the Riverdale Funeral Home Inc. 5044 Broadway @214 Street, NY, NY 10034. Interment will then follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. May her memory be eternal.
