Carol Hart Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bannan Funeral Home - Alpena on Dec. 4, 2025.
Carol A. Hart, 91, of Ossineke passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at My Michigan Medical Center – Alpena.
Carol A. Rick was born on April 8, 1934, in AuSable Township, Michigan to the late Clarence and Virdia (Selee) Rick. Carol graduated from Oscoda High School in 1952. She earned her Registered Nursing License (RN) after attending the Henry Ford Hospital – Detroit nursing program in 1955. One day after graduating she married Dale Hart in Oscoda. He preceded her on April 22, 2010. After their marriage and some moving around they moved permanently to Ossineke where Dale started as a barber at The State Street Barber Shop in Alpena. During this time, she worked several years part-time at Alpena General Hospital and later full time at Provincial House, now the Medilodge – Alpena. She went from there to teaching at Alpena Community College for the LPN nursing program, retiring in 1984 after 15 years. She, however, treasured her family the most. She enjoyed trips to the casino with her husband and family, crossword puzzles, word search and just watching the birds and wildlife out the back window.
Surviving are her 3 children, Dale (Cindy) Hart, Jr. of Ossineke, Scot Hart of Ossineke, Beth (Gary) Dodd of Alpena; grandchildren, Danielle Prevo, Darrick (Melissa) Hart, Storm (Kelly) Dodd, several great-grandchildren; siblings, Kathy Christenson, Elwin (Sharon) Rick; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Rick; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Hart was preceded in death by brother, Bud Rick; sister, June (Harvey) Fast; brother-in-law, Bob Christenson, and sister-in-law, Genevieve (Ebert) Kennedy.
