Carol Brooks Hatch, 77, of Mebane, NC, entered her heavenly home on September 1, 2025. She was born on October 22, 1947, to the late Herman Carol Brooks and Lillian Brooks.
Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose presence lit up every room. Known for her bubbly spirit, warm heart, and love of dancing, she especially enjoyed listening to Alan Jackson. Carol married the love of her life, William Hatch, in October of 1965, and together they shared 60 beautiful years of marriage.
She is survived by her devoted husband, William Hatch; daughters, Christy Hill and Tina Straughan; and grandchildren, Stacy Carden, Adam Hill, Brittany Faucette, Christopher Straughan, and Clint Hatch. She also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren: Audrey Felts, Shyann Carden, Bentley Faucette, Caylei Facette, Shayla Carden, Liam Hill, Misty Hatch, Cyrus Hatch, Jodie Hatch, Vega Hatch, and Bellamy Hatch.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Herman Carol Brooks and Lillian Brooks; her brothers, Danny Brooks and Tim Warren; her son, Mark Hatch; and her great-granddaughter, Shea Carden.
Carol was loved by all who knew her, and while she will be deeply missed, her family finds peace knowing she is now free from the sickness of this world and rejoicing in the arms of Jesus.
A visitation will be held at Walker's Funeral Home of Mebane on Thursday, September 4, from 2:00 to 3:00PM. A funeral service will follow from 3:00 to 4:00PM.
