Carol Ruth Heimann of North Webster, Indiana, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 29, 2025, in the care of Stillwater Hospice in Fort Wayne, Indiana at the age of 78.

She was born on February 23, 1947, in Dauphin County, Pennsylvania to Anna Luzetta (Miller) Strohecker and Edgar Austin Strohecker. Carol graduated from Millersburg High School in Pennsylvania in 1965, where she enjoyed participating in the marching band. She attended college in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, earning her degree in 1966 to work as a licensed practical nurse and worked in Harrisburg. Carol loved living her life for the past 52 years in Kosciusko County, Indiana, and worked as a United States Postal Clerk in Warsaw, Indiana for 28 years retiring in 2013.

In 1968, Carol married Joseph Heckert who passed away in 1976. In 1978, Carol married Gene Oliver who passed away in 2010. On May 26, 2012, she married the love of her life, Michael "Mike" Joseph Heimann. They were blessed with a wonderful thirteen years of marriage together.

She enjoyed her church family at Christ's Covenant Church in Winona Lake where she has been a beloved member for nearly twenty years. She enjoyed learning about her Lord during Bible studies, was a talented painter and created many works of art in watercolor painting, beading and crafts. Carol loved to experience God's beauty while traveling and on the many wonderful boat rides over the years.

More than anything Carol simply loved the Lord. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family and friends. Carol will lovingly be remembered by her husband, Mike Heimann; daughters, June (Oliver) Miller (Roger); Jenna (Oliver) Hanna (Christopher); Dana (Oliver) Ovchinnikova (Roman); sons, David (Melinda) Oliver; Jonathan (Paige) Oliver; her son-in-law, Daniel (Kirsten) Plett, step-daughter, Olivia (Joshua) Patton; step-sons, Benjamin (Tiffany) Heimann; Shane (Cheryl) Heimann and Matthew (Becky) Heimann.

Also, surviving are her many grandsons, Nathan and Curtis George; Samuel (Gabi) Plett; Gabe and Gavin Hanna; Ashlan Oliver, Aviston and Corrick Oliver; granddaughters, Megan Zorn; Anna (Plett) Rucinova (Andrew); Dara Plett; Josee and Jacqueline Hanna; Evie Ovchinnikova; Abigail Oliver; step-grandsons, Griffin Eppley; Oliver Heimann; Elijah Heimann; step-granddaughters, Brooklynn Heimann and Hayden Patton; great-granddaughter, Taylee Zorn and great-grandsons, Isaac and Elias Zorn. She also leaves behind three brothers, James (Carol) Strohecker; Joel (Ruth) Strohecker and Jon (Kathy) Strohecker. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her daughter, Lynn (Oliver) Plett.

Visitation will take place from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Christ's Covenant Church, 2090 E. Pierceton Road, Winona Lake, Indiana. Carol's life will be celebrated with a service at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Christ's Covenant Church, and officiated by Pastor Rod Valentine. There will also be an hour of visitation prior to the service from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. Arrangements were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
