Carol S. Helmecamp, born on July 27, 1941, in Norwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully February 22 2026, in Mason, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family. She was a cherished woman whose life was marked by love, compassion, and steadfast devotion to those around her.
Carol's maiden name was Keller, and she was the beloved wife of the late William Helmecamp. Together, they created a nurturing home filled with warmth and laughter. Carol was a devoted mother to her three sons, James , Steven (Amy), and Michael Helmecamp, who carry forward her legacy of kindness and love.
She was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Justin, David (Darienne), Ben, Jack, Maria, and Von Helmecamp. Each grandchild held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in their accomplishments and joys throughout their lives.
Carol is also survived by her sister-in-law, Mary Keller, who shared many memories with her over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Clara Keller, who instilled in her the values of hard work and compassion that she carried throughout her life. Additionally, she was preceded by her siblings: Anna Mae Condron (James), James (Claire) Keller, Richard (Carol) Keller, Charles Keller, and Daniel Keller.
Her family will honor her memory with a Visitation at St. Susanna Catholic Church in Mason, Ohio, on February 27, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Mass at the same location beginning at 12:00 PM and concluding at 1:00 PM. Carol will be remembered for the love she shared and the indelible impact she made on her family and friends.
In celebrating the life of Carol S. Helmecamp, we acknowledge the profound love that she brought into the world and the lasting legacy she leaves behind in the hearts of her loved ones.
