Carol Kraft Jackson, age 76, of Cleveland, MS, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2023, at the Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville, MS.

Carol was born on April 13, 1947, to Paul Carol Kraft and Jean Louise Matthews Kraft in Canton, MS. She graduated from Canton High School in 1965 and went on to attend Delta State University. After college, she dedicated her time as a homemaker, raising her two children.

Upon moving to Cleveland, Carol worked diligently in various roles. She served at Jays Department Store, Cleveland Printing, Sunburst Bank, and Kossman's  in the bookkeeping department. Later on, she took up employment in the banking industry as a loan officer at State Bank and Merchants & Farmers Bank (now Renasant Bank).
In addition to her professional pursuits, Carol found joy in various hobbies such as cross-stitching, crocheting, cooking, and reading. However, her most fulfilling role was that of a loving mother and grandmother.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Louise Kraft and her brother Paul Edward Kraft.

She is survived by her daughters Wendy Wood (Will) of Cleveland, MS; Heather Maloney (Rob) of Madison, MS; brother Allan Kraft of Grosse Tete LA; and her six grandchildren: Jackson Wood; Joshua Wood; Cassidy Barnett (Tyler); Landon Maloney; Garrett Maloney; and Kennedy Maloney.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 5th from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Cleveland Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a graveside funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM in the Canton City Cemetery located in Canton, MS. The service will be officiated by Rob Maloney.

Pallbearers for the funeral will be Rob Maloney; Jackson Wood; Joshua Wood; Landon Maloney; Garrett Maloney; and Ken Mullins.

Cleveland Funeral Home has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
