Blacksburg - Carol Suzanne "Sue" Kale, age 93, passed away peacefully of February 15, 2025, at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, NC surrounded by family. Born in Jamestown, NY, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ernest Robert Kale, with whom she shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories. She was the daughter of the late Charles Peter Lang and Laura Enid Pearsall Lang.
Sue is survived by her children, Cheryl Bowman (Mike), Becky Johnson (Joey), and Randy Kale (Amy). She was the proud grandmother to Kristin Bushong (Matt), Eric Bostic (Rachel),Tyler Kale (Alison), Whittany Kale, and Madison Fergia (Jacob), and a loving great-grandmother to Elliott, Logan, Carter, Miles, Jackson, Liam, Jefferson, Noah, and Tanner.
Sue was a woman of great talent and warmth. She had a passion for quilting, puzzles, and coloring, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. She also loved traveling to the beach, where she created lasting memories with family and friends. Above all, Sue was deeply devoted to her family and her faith. She and Ernie were faithful members of New Gilead Reformed Church in Concord, NC, where they found community and strength.
Sue will be remembered fondly for her kind spirit, nurturing heart, and unwavering love for her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and faith that will be carried on by those who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Sue's life will be held at New Gilead Reformed Church in Concord, NC, with details to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.
Sue's memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and she will be greatly missed.
