Carol Kratcha, 64, of Hawley, MN went to her eteral home in Heaven on December 25, 2024. Carol Ann Kratcha was born on April 12, 1960 in Breckenridge, MN to William and Darlene (Madsen) Jongbloed. Carol attended Wahpeton High School where she met the love of her life Robert (Sharkey) Kratcha. They were united in marriage on June 29, 1979.
Robert and Carol settled in Mapleton, ND where they raised their two sons, Travis and Corey. Carol began working at Swanson's Health Products in 1989 in the call center. Later she received her associates degree and moved into the role of accounts payable.
In 2003, Carol and Sharkey purchased property on Lake 11 by Hawley, MN and fulfilled their life-long dream of building a log home. This became her sanctuary where she lived to host family gatherings and spend time with her grandkids down by the lake.
Carol loved to spend her time antiquing, puzzling, watching her grandchildren play sports, and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, her sons Travis (Julinee) and Corey (Sarah), grandchildren Charlie, Hudson, Archer, and Elin, her father William (Bette), sister Cheryl, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her mother, Darlene, her in-laws Archie and Betty Kratcha, and her sisters, Marlene and Mary Jo.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2nd from 4:30-6:30 at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead, MN with a celebration of life to start at 6:30.
Forever in our hearts, Carol will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered.
