Carol M. Krause, 84, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Monday September 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Carol was the loving wife of Robert C. Krause, and they celebrated 58 years of marriage this past May. Carol and Robert were members of the Cathedral of St. Catharine of Siena Church in Allentown. Born in Allentown, Carol was the daughter of the late Francis A. and Mary I. (Reiker) O'Donnell.
Carol worked as a Registered Nurse for many years prior to retirement and was a 1961 graduate of the Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing. After retiring, Carol's greatest joy was helping out with her grandchildren and being part of their lives. She and her husband loved hiking and traveling the world.
Surviving with her husband Robert are Carol's children: Kristin wife of Jeffrey Baird of Bath, PA, Robert M. and his wife Rattana of Newark, DE, and Dennis M. of Allentown, PA. Additionally, she is survived by her grandchildren Taylor Baird and Dylan Baird, her brothers Dennis (Carolyn) O'Donnell and Francis (Donna) O'Donnell, and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday September 13, 2025, at 11:00am in the Cathedral Church, 1825 W. Turner Street, Allentown. A calling period will be held from 10:00-10:50 am in the church vestibule prior to mass. In lieu of flowers, Carol's family asks that you do a kind deed for a friend in her memory.
